Let’s be honest, a nice bottle of something as a gift ticks a LOT of boxes, firstly it’s practical, and you know it will come in useful. Secondly, it’s an easy gift that’s thoughtful at the same time. It can be easy to grab something when you’re doing the supermarket shop. With a little online research, you can make things that wee bit better. Even easier, he’s a pre-curated list with some cheeky discount codes thrown in 😉.
Starting strong, Warner Edwards have a phenomenal range of different gins, if you’ve been round here a while you will know their Rhubarb and gin was the first gin I ever tried. What’s better is that you can now get your bottle personalised and this year they introduced non-alcoholic versions too.
If you want something, they are unlikely to have in their gin cabinet, that cannot be found in store and really comes with a punch then I will shout about Kalevala from the roof tops. This incredible Finnish gin is crisp, clean and their Navy version is a staple behind the home bar (I don’t like to share).
If you’re a Craft Gin Club member you can also buy at a discounted price via their site.
Dead Mans Fingers
If I’m anywhere and they have Dead Man’s Fingers rum on the menu, I know instantly that’s what I’m going to be ordering. Especially in cocktails. Their rums are incredibly smooth and for something a little different their one crafted with hemp is delicious. A great gift in a quirky bottle that will no doubt start conversation around the Christmas Tree.
Being serious, you’ve got to either be seriously into your vodka to buy a bottle of this, or you’ve got to really love someone, because it ain’t cheap. The bottles are incredible firstly, and become a collectors item looking amazing on any shelf, but the vodka inside is good too, so good you can drink it neat over ice (I know, shocking right). There’s no link for this one as it’s best to google and find the best price at that point in time!
I’ve been raving about Noveltea for a while now, not only are they a northern company (whoop) but they make lovely tea infused liquors. This year they’ve launched the limited edition Noveltea which is spiced tea with scotch whisky. You can also get 15% off your order when using code BETH15.
For me, Johnnie Walker is the OG of Whisky. Their range of incredible bottles make a fantastic gift for anyone who loves whisky, and there are a range of bottles you can chose to fit your price range. Even better, they offer a personalisation service that also includes engraving on the bottles and you can put images on. A really lovely keepsake and the contents taste good.
If you fancy buying a whisky they most probably wont have tried then darkness makes an incredible gift, not only is the bottle beautiful but it’s aged in a bourbon cask and then placed in a coopered sherry cask to enhance the flavour. It’s a beautiful vibrant whisky. There are a range of ages (the old the whiskey the higher the figure after the £sign. They are available to order on Masters of Malt
