The Christmas Edit: Gifts for Your Skincare Obsessed Friend

Posted on November 13, 2020November 14, 2020 by bethshehata

If you’ve found yourself here, that means you’re trying to find a gift for someone who loves skincare. The Christmas shelves in the shops are typically filled with gift sets, proclaiming great savings, along with Gifts with Purchase designed to draw you in. The sad reality is, skincare is highly personal; so many of those gift sets end up unused, sent to charity, re-gifted (yes, I said it) or worse, in the bin.

Here are my top ten suggestions for skincare gifts, without buying skincare potions and lotions:

£10 & Under

The Pamper Headband

A practical product if I’ve ever heard of one. A skincare lover must have, get your hair out of your face whilst applying a mask or doing your daily routines. To add a touch of luxury the one I’ve selected is from the white company, who doesn’t love receiving gifts from the white company?!

Price estimate: £10

Re-Usable Cotton Pads

Maybe not to most exciting; the ones I’ve found are a beautiful gift, a little different and from a brand which will resonate with all skincare lovers.

Every beauty addict needs cotton pads, these ones save the environment plus you can never run out!

Click here to shop from L’Occitane

Price estimate: £5.50 + P&P

£10 to £50

Face Halo

These magical pads are a pleasure to take your make-up off with; environmentally sustainable, easy to wash and so good for your skin. Don’t be put off by the price being in USD ($) they ship for free to the UK. I’d recommend going with the Black Pro-Pads as they really help to get the skin clean.

Price estimate: £17

Caroline Hirons Signed Edition Skincare Book

The queen of all thing’s skincare, this book is a no-nonsense guide to looking after your skin has released this limited-edition copy of her book in pink; and they are all signed editions. Chances are you skincare loving friend worships Hirons so a lovely gift all round!

Price estimate: £20 + P&P (or collect in store)

A Skincare Travel Bag

You can never have enough! Well, maybe, but incredibly useful. These are some of my favourites from space NK, they look luxurious, and the clear surface and bottom allows you to see quickly what you’ve packed.

Due to the minimalistic design, you can’t go wrong!

Price estimate: £24 they come in a wide range of colours

Satin Pillowcases

A game changer in the world of beauty, these bad boys help to stop imprints and wrinkles forming in the face, don’t damage the skin as you move in your sleep and help your hair. They’re also great for helping to reduce breakouts and those who are acne prone may see benefits from them.

Click here to shop these beauties are from Cult Beauty (if you shop using Top Cash Back I’d recommend going via there as there are usually deals on!)

Price estimate: £15 each

A Face Roller

My go-to skincare accessories, I need two hands to count the number of people I’ve converted to using. These rollers are made from stones and keep naturally cool, they help to decrease puffiness and improve circulation in face (improving brightness). They also really help to work product all over your face and add a touch of luxury to your routine.

There are hundreds out there with a quick google search for all range of prices, but this one is truly beautiful and will make a lovely gift

Price estimate: £30

£50+

The SILKE Hair wrap

I’ve strayed a little from skincare for this one, but chances are if your friend is into their skin, they’re probably into their hair too. I’ve been using my Silke wrap for around a year now and I love it. They’re not cheap but worth the investment. They stop your hair from snapping and help keep it healthy; they also keep your hair in place when styled and reduce how much you need to wash – winner

Click here to shop they come in a range of glorious colours

Price estimate: £50 + P&P

A Silk Eye Mask

I know, I’ve really played on the silk and satin lines for skincare, but they do make a difference, they’re a lot to purchase for yourself, it’s unlikely your amigo will already have them and they make truly lovely gifts! Roll with it!

A silk eye mask is no exception, mine is a beauty from Dermalogica but no longer available for purchase. The silk really helps my eyes (and protects my eyelashes). What’s better is they block out the light which I really struggle with; also a great gift if your friend travels a lot.

Click here to shop the the slip silk eye masks.

Price estimate: £50

Dermalogica Facial

Book a Dermalogica facial for your skincare fiend, it’s so much better than buying products, they can never have too many and an expert will help to give their skincare the attention it needs with targeted treatments. Dermalogica is a science-led brand focused on its sustainability, animal safety and products that really target improving the skins appearance.

Click here to find a local Dermalogica Expert (if you’re in Newcastle, I’d recommend looking into At Sisters).

Price estimate: Range can be between £40 to £100
